Developers pushed out of Killalea Park

It has been more than three years since the community won its fight to save Killalea State Park from developers.

In May 2010 the NSW government announced that plans for an eco-tourism development in the park had been scrapped after an agreement between developers and the Killalea State Park Trust was terminated.

The initial Killalea proposal from Babcock & Brown and Mariner Financial was for 202 residential lodges, pools, tennis courts, restaurants and a conference centre.
