Cyclist hospitalised after Waterfall crash

Another cyclist was injured on the region’s roads over the weekend, following a crash at Waterfall on Saturday morning.

Police reported that a 35-year-old woman suffered serious injuries after being in a collision about 7.15am in McKell Avenue.

Police were called to the scene and believe the woman was riding along the road when she collided with a car travelling in the opposite direction.

The woman was taken to hospital and a crime scene was established.

Just last weekend, two cyclists were hurt in hit-and-run crashes on Sunday, including 58-year-old Brendan Braid, who was struck while riding on the Old Princes Highway near Helensburgh.

Also last Sunday, a woman was placed in intensive care after a truck hit the back of her bike at Kemps Creek in Sydney’s west.
