Getting a white shirt to stay bright is never an easy task, so Primbee Public School has decided to ease the cleaning load for the parents of its 88 students.
After an extensive voting process, the school has replaced its uniform of a white polo and bottle-green shorts with a jade-green top and navy bottoms - a ‘‘very smart’’ look according to principal Dorothy Cass.
‘‘Because we do a fair bit of sport and painting and have a sandpit, it was hard to keep the white shirt nice and white. Quite a few people asked if we could change,’’ she said.
Students are able to wear the old uniform until the school makes a full transition to the new garb.
The P&C also bought new hats that feature the school’s logo for all students.
