Boy, 5, treated for facial burns in Thirroul

A five-year-old boy was being treated for oil burns to the face after an accident at a Thirroul home on Sunday night.

Emergency services were called just before 7pm.

A rescue helicopter landed at Thomas Gibson Park where paramedics assessed the boy’s condition before he was transferred to Westmead Children’s Hospitals burns unit.

He was in a stable condition.
