Two teenagers have been charged over the alleged attempted robbery of a man at a skate park in Nowra.
Police were told a 19-year-old man was skateboarding with a group of people at the park in McGrath Avenue when he saw a teenage boy allegedly going through his bag at 4.30pm on Sunday.
The man challenged the teenager before the teen walked away from the skate park.
Police allege the teenager and another youth returned returned to the skate park a short time later and threatened the 19-year-old man with a knife and demanded cash from him.
The 19-year-old said he didn’t have any money and both youths left the area.
After inquiries, police arrested two boys at Bomaderry Railway Station about 6.15pm.
A knife was seized and sent for forensic examination.
A 17-year-old boy from Gwynneville and 16-year-old boy from Kemblawarra were taken to Nowra Police Station where they were charged with attempted armed robbery while in company.
They were granted conditional bail to appear at children’s court on March 6.
