The "Lunch time at the Arts Precinct" program will give a platform to professional and emerging musicians from throughout the Illawarra to perform in the heart of the city, with a prime spot near the council building, Illawarra Performing Arts Centre and the dining precinct of Corrimal and Crown streets.
Each Wednesday from 12pm to 2pm, artists will play in the Arts Precinct plaza, to entertain passers-by.
Today's musicians include Bec Sandridge and Justin Frew.
"We're really thrilled to be able to support local artists and showcase the talent we have right here in Wollongong," said Lord Mayor Gordon Bradbery
"The live performances will complement what already is a buzzing social space."
Musicians interested in performing should contact the council's cultural services department at www.culturalservices@wollongong. nsw.gov.au
