It might seem unusual but you can now follow a train line on Twitter.
It's a plan from NSW Train Link to give commuters the ability to find out if there's anything happening that might delay their train.
"As part of a new approach to social media, our customers can now choose to follow dedicated regional and intercity NSW TrainLink Twitter handles - giving customers live transport information at their fingertips," NSW Trains customer service delivery director Kieron Ritchard said.
"The Twitter handles help customers plan ahead and keep them updated of any operational issues in the region affecting their trip."
There are three Train Link Twitter handles - @TrainLinkNorth, @TrainLinkWest and @TrainLinkSouth, which includes the South Coast and Southern Highlands lines.
"Stepping into the social media realm to provide our customers with the most immediate service updates possible is in line with some of the top rail operators in the world," Mr Ritchard said.
