Police seized 189 cannabis plants and almost three kilograms of dried cannabis leaf after searching nine rural and suburban homes between March 3 and March 7.

They also used trail bikes to search bushland where they found 50 mature cannabis plants growing in several national parks.

‘‘We are currently making inquiries as to whether Australian currency seized is proceeds of crime from the sale of prohibited drugs,’’ Det Sgt Marks said.

‘‘Investigations are continuing and police are expecting to charge a number of individuals for cultivating prohibited plants, possessing and supplying prohibited drugs (Cannabis) and being in possession of unregistered firearms.’’
