In the space of a couple of days they released two new beers.

The first was the coffee porter (which they've tagged as coming from "El Illawarra Brewing Compano").

This is a beer for coffee lovers, with brewers Shaun Blissett and Ashur Hall taking eight days to cold press about four kilograms of coffee beans.

The resulting eight litres of cold-pressed coffee went into the fermentation tanks to make the beer. The result is a much more distinct coffee flavour than most other coffee porters (which either add the coffee during the boil, which can create bitterness, or just use roasted malt to suggest coffee flavour).

There's virtually no hops in the beer, because they didn't want them to overshadow the rich coffee flavours.

And they are rich, but without being bitter. And also without tasting like an alcoholic cup of coffee.

Their second beer is the one I prefer - The Chuck Norris. First made as a collaboration with Sydney's Local Taphouse, the beer is back to mark Chuck's birthday on March 10.

This beer uses loads of Mosaic hops, which throws off absolutely wonderful tropical fruit aromas.

It's a beer you're happy just to sit and sniff before drinking, it's better than I recall the last version of The Chuck Norris being.
