The Gipps Road bakery was one of 10 venues to register for the inaugural Rugby League Against Violence national pie week fund-raiser, and donated all profits from its pie sales during the event, which launched on March 8 and concluded on Friday.
Gwynneville Bakery manager Sam Patrinos, a former junior league player for Collegians, signed on to the fund-raiser at the urging of an old league friend.
"It seemed like a chance for us to get behind something worthwhile," he said.
Rugby League Against Violence will use funds from the event to expand its Equal Playing Field youth education program, which uses a tag competition to teach youths about violence, respect and healthy relationships.
About 100 Illawarra students aged 12 to 14 took part in the program in 2013.
