The winning team will represent NSW at the Fine Food Fair in Melbourne in September, with the top-performing state representing Australia in the Asian division of the World Pastry Cup in Singapore.
Last year, the Wollongong team - Jessica Timpano and John Reminis - took out the national competition, baking treats inspired by Alice in Wonderland.
Illawarra TAFE's Amelia Preston was announced as the winner in the pastry cooking section on Friday night.
