Driver thrown from car in Highlands crash

A 22-year-old man has died after the vehicle he was in left the road, and crashed into a tree in the Southern Highlands.

The crash happened on Myra Vale Road, Wildes Meadow, about 2.15pm on Monday.

A NSW Ambulance spokeswoman said it appeared the man had been ejected from the car when it smashed into the tree.

He suffered serious head injuries and was taken to Bowral Hospital, where he later died.

Police said the man was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
