Curt Warren, of Warren Windsports, is a first time angel this year and took flight from Bald Hill on the weekend to celebrate his involvement.
Mr Warren is donating a tandem flight for auction at the annual Angels at Work corporate breakfast at Diggies and is also giving a family affected by leukaemia a special experience leading up to the annual event.
This year the Leukaemia Foundation fund-raiser is being held on May 9 in Wollongong, May 10 in Shellharbour and is taking off for the first time in Newcastle on May 16.
Angels at Work involves businesses and individuals putting on angel wings at work to collect donations in creative and fun ways to help people fighting leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma or blood related disorders and their families.
Many angels also venture into the streets and visit other workplaces.
Money raised from the event founded by Beti Krsteksi, of Angel Recruitment Group, helps the not-for-profit foundation care for people with blood cancers and their families. Anyone interested in donning wings to collect gold coin donations for the Leukaemia Foundation can click on to everydayhero.com.au/event/angelsatwork to register and start taking donations.

Date of dramas
If you are ever considering planning any event on March 23 take note.
After University of Wollongong's Elizabeth Eastland spent last week showing Waterloo Accelerator Centre's Andrew Jackson the iAccelerate plans and new iAccelerator startpad they each recalled how two years ago when Waterloo Accelerator Centre chief executive Tim Ellis visited Wollongong to encourage the city to follow in Waterloo's startup accelerator footsteps it rained all week and particularly hard on March 23.
Mr Ellis had car problems because of it and when he returned last year the same thing happened again on the same date.
Then last week Mr Jackson encountered the same problem, prompting Ms Eastland to say 'it is not always like this'.
Mr Jackson said it was snowing back home.
