The High Five Award honours developers who have broken boundaries and forged new paths in the world of mobile.
SendaScript was recognised for its integration with Braintree payment systems.
Clickatell is a global SMS business that employed a panel of judges from around the world to select the winners.
The panel recognised Fabian McCann, of Dapto, for employing an innovative use of SMS in his Kanahooka Pharmacy business.
SendaScript is a mobile app that also won the Golden Mobi for Best Design Studio Start-Up App and the Best In Medical Award at the 2013 Australian Mobile Awards.
SendaScript is turning heads for the way it has provided an independent link between GPs, consumers and any Australian pharmacy.
It means patients can forward a prescription using their iPhone, iPod or iPad to a pharmacy and then just pick it up on arrival.
The SendaScript team has also been innovatively distributing and promoting the app in the pharmaceutical industry.
Mr McCann said it allowed people to do many things, such as send prescriptions ahead when they travelled.
The app has several other features, such as people being able to include a list of their medications, and a database listing things such as medicine costs and pharmacies that were open.
Mr McCann was not only happy for himself - he said he was delighted to share such good news with the IT sector in the region.
"We have now won our first international technology award for the company's latest version of the software," he said. "It is good news for Wollongong."
Mr McCann said further information about the awards was available at www.clickatell.com/about-us/.
