Top Kembla Grange horses have been few and far between during the autumn carnival, but Bede Murray has provided a glimmer of hope with the return of Darci Be Good imminent.
The multiple stakes winner hasn't been seen since finishing last in the Hill Stakes (2000m) during the spring, but has overcome several issues which threatened to halt his career.
"He just had those issues with his back joints, but he's back in work at Kembla Grange at the moment," Murray said.
"We had some concerns [with him prior to spelling], but we'll carry him through and see how he goes. We're just hopeful he'll get back to the races."
Darci Be Good's career has been a source of great excitement for the Illawarra Turf Club members who share in ownership of the horse, which has won twice at Group 3 level.
Murray plans to have Darci Be Good back at the races within six weeks.
