Sam Ibrahim's sister denied bail after Warilla raid

The sister of former bikie boss Sam Ibrahim appeared in Wollongong Local Court via video link on Thursday on a charge over an alleged gun-running syndicate.

Ibrahim, 45 and his sister Maha Sayour, 43 – in court under the name Jazz Dior – and Rose Tattoo drummer Paul DeMarco were arrested in a series of dawn raids at Warilla and Sydney properties on Tuesday.

Dior, of Wentworthville, was arrested at Warilla and taken to Oak Flats police station where she was charged with conspiracy to commit an offence.

She appeared in Wollongong Local Court on Thursday via video link from the Women’s Correctional Centre at Silverwater.

Dior did not apply for bail and it was formally refused by Magistrate Michael Stoddart. He adjourned the matter to Wednesday, April 9 at Parramatta Local Court, to be mentioned along with Ibrahim and DeMarco.

DeMarco, the group’s alleged kingpin, is charged with 27 firearm offences.

Ibrahim was charged with five offences including sale of firearms and possession of steroids.
