All will be revealed over the June long weekend but if this year's program is any indication, then visitors to the South Coast's premier food and wine event are in for a treat.
The festival, from June 7 to 9, will see 11 of the Shoalhaven's best wineries join with food artisans and entertainers for three days of celebrations to showcase the region's tourism and its fast growing food and wine industry.
The participating wineries are Yarrawarra Estate, Roselea Vineyard, Crooked River Wines, Silos Estate and Wiley's Creek, Mountain Ridge Wines, Coolangatta Estate, Two Figs Winery, Cambewarra Estate, Cupitt's Winery, Fern Gully Winery and Bawley Vale Estate.
Visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy specially themed dinners, long lunches, South Coast oysters, locally grown beef, cheese platters, wood-fired pizzas and snacks washed down with wine varieties from semillon to chardonnay, sparklings, verdelho and cabernet sauvignon to the rarer varieties such as arneis and tannat.
The festival will be officially launched on May 27 at the Mercure Resort, Gerringong by the Sea.
The Shoalhaven Coast Wine Industry Association has invited the public to join in, meet the winemakers and enjoy a taste of what will be offered over the three-day festival.
Launch tickets are $30 and are available at Mercure Resort, Gerringong by the Sea. Email events@mercuregerringong.com.au or calling 02 4234 1359 (ext 409).
