Australian swimmer Laura Crockart was a special guest at a bumper turnout of more than 250 friends and members at Corrimal Swim Club's presentation evening at the Fraternity Club.

Pia Farmilio from NSW Swimming joined up-and-coming 18-year-old Crockart at the presentation, which was held on the eve of Crockart competing at the Australian Swimming Championships.
A junior at Ryde Carlile Swimming Club, Crockart smashed the Australian and Commonwealth record for the women's 1500m freestyle at the Australian Short Course Swimming Championships in August.
Crockart spoke at the presentation night about her swimming experiences and the dedication required to reach specific goals.
The night followed six months of Friday night point scores at Corrimal Swim Club, plus country and state champions qualifiers and other carnivals held throughout the season.
Nathan De Lutiis, 13, and 14-year-old Harrison Corby earned Corrimal's top award, the Champion of Champions trophy.
Corrimal Swim Club aims to promote junior swimming for beginners through to an elite level within the local region.
Swimmers race in a non-competitive environment, and the club prides itself on its family-friendly atmosphere.
Boys and girls from under six to 15 and over are awarded trophies for their efforts, with an emphasis on participation and striving to improve.
Along with the weekly point score, the club holds special events including handicap races, brace relays and club championships, and members also compete at regional carnivals.
