There were bunny ears, a few fluffy bonnets and more than a few hats decorated with Easter eggs – including the edible kind – at Corrimal East Public School this week.

With school winding down for the term and the chocolate-filled holiday right around the corner, students celebrated the upcoming break with a traditional Easter hat parade.
The event had an environmentally friendly twist, however, with children asked to craft their headwear using recyclable material from around their homes.
The children also got to parade to a selection of current tunes, and also took part in an egg and spoon race and an Easter egg guessing competition.
Corrimal East also donated Easter baskets to the children’s ward at Wollongong Hospital.
