Based on the popular children's book 13-Storey Treehouse, a four-day Terrific Treehouse creativity camp will begin on Monday in Wollongong.
Children will participate in workshops to create their own treehouse, based on performance-building exercises.
They will also watch a play based on the book on Tuesday.
Australian Theatre for Young People workshop manager Sarah Parsons said the camp was a success when it ran in Sydney over the summer.
She said her inner seven-year-old was delighted by the creative ideas participants produced.
"The kids had some really interesting ideas, things like slides and secret passageways [in their treehouse]," she said.
"It's completely driven by the children's imagination."
The camp costs $220 and runs for six hours each day at the IPAC.
