The new central CBD location means the 50-strong editorial team is close to all the action for covering court, council, business, health and police news, and allows the paper’s 90 staff to work together on one floor.
The Mercury started as a weekly sixpenny newspaper in 1855, and has evolved through many incarnations into a multimedia organisation, printing a newspaper six days a week, as well as producing a website, digital edition and mobile phone app.
The new Mercury office is on Level 4, 77 Market Street in Wollongong.
