DNA led to arrest
In February, tiles were stolen after a boundary fence of a residence under construction in Dapto was cut and the front door forced open.
A forensic examination was carried out on a pair of bolt cutters located in the yard and the DNA of the man was identified.
The man was arrested on Monday and police said that he made admissions to the theft while being interviewed.
