The courage and determination, the passion and drive, the desire to live life at its fullest.
I see so many people in my private practice and it seems that they believe that life is about becoming something that you are not, when in actual fact it's about becoming who you were always meant to be.
The more you know yourself, what drives you, what you are passionate about, what you love, what you hate and what excites you, the more effortless it is for you to achieve what you want and be fulfilled.
Life is most enjoyable and meaningful when you are present in every moment.
Living in the past or future, as we often do, only serves to drain your spirit.
Life unfolds in the present.
But so often, we let the present slip away, allowing time to rush past unobserved and unseized, and squandering the precious seconds of our lives as we worry about the future and ruminate about what's past.
"We're living in a world that contributes in a major way to mental fragmentation, disintegration, distraction, decoherence," says Buddhist scholar B. Alan Wallace.
We're always doing something, and we allow little time to practise stillness and calm.
Learn how to live in the moment with these easy concepts:
• Pay attention to small things.
• Smile.
• Perform random acts of kindness.
• Give thanks or express gratitude.
Life in the moment moves quickly — don't miss it.
