The Keiraville International Church, established for international students at the University of Wollongong, will begin its Easter Service at 6am on the beach.
In between music and prayer, three members of the congregation will tell of their conversion to Christianity.
Minister Thayil John said he started the church when he came to Australia from India four years ago to cater to international students, many of whom attended university.
‘‘I didn’t plan to do any ministry here, I did 30 years in India, I was very worn out,’’ he said.
‘‘I didn’t think in a different culture I would be able to do anything, but when I saw the need here it really challenged me.’’
The minister said 64 people had converted in four years, including Keiraville’s Phuoc Tai.
The 31-year-old converted to the church in June last year and said he had received a warm welcome from the Christian community in Wollongong.
