It takes just seconds to feel the sand between your toes when you step outside a beachfront property at Wombarra.
The four-bedroom home is situated at 32 Haig Street, which selling agent Trever Molenaar said was one of his favourite streets in the region.
"Haig Street is one of the few that has direct beach access, it's a quiet little cul-de-sac and the property is right across from the beach," Mr Molenaar, from McGrath Estate Agents, said.
"It's absolute beachfront."
The home on the block has a huge front deck with sweeping views of the escarpment, headlands and surf.
It has four bedrooms with high ceilings and original timber floors, two bathrooms and two living areas.
There is scope to renovate but the property has DA approval for a two-lot subdivision.
Mr Molenaar said the 1187-square-metre block could be split to build two properties, or used for a single beach home.
"It's probably, in my opinion, in the top tier of building blocks in the Illawarra.
"You can build your own dream home on it, or you can subdivide the back and sell off."
According to Australian Property Monitors, the median sale price of properties in Wombarra over the past 12 months was $1.14 million.
The Haig Street residence can be inspected between 11am and 11.30am on Saturday.
It will go to auction on Saturday, May 17, at noon.
