8.30am A NSW police officer from Goulburn has been charged with the rape of a child. There are two charges - aggravated sexual intercourse with a child under the age of 10 and assault occasioning actual bodily harm. He is due to appear in Goulburn Local Court on June 19.

8.15am Attorney-General Greg Smith three other senior NSW Government ministers will be dumped from cabinet under incoming Premier Mike Baird's new regime. The outgoing ministers are George Souris (hospitality and racing), Robyn Parker (environment) and Don Page (local government). Pittwater MP Rob Stokes, Castle Hill MP Dominic Perrottet and Wollondilly MP Jai Rowell, all Liberals, are to be promoted, along with Nationals MPs Troy Grant (Dubbo) and Paul Toole (Bathurst).

* Nobody has yet been taken into custody over the suspected hit-and-run of 17-year-old April-Lee Gillen on Northcliffe Drive at Lake Heights early Sunday. Ms Gillen remains in critical condition in Wollongong Hospital.

* An Albion Park Rail man has been charged with driving while disqualified for the fifth time in six months. Store here.

* Area cyclists have flagged wide racing tracks around football fields, segregated bike lanes and better cycle links between suburbs as ways of getting bicycles off footpaths
