The main issue is the sanitising of the old cricket ground, now called the Village Green, which virtually disallows the community, including tourist, to enjoy it.
The main gripe which came through loud and clear was that it was unfair that one commercial enterprise can take precedent over ratepayers.
Skydive The Beach make a big play about how it is a main driver of tourists. They are sadly mistaken and out of touch with reality.
Stuart Park and North Gong are packed to the brim on any given sunny day with tourists and locals alike, certainly not all skydivers.
It is a red herring the area is/was not popular without Skydive.
The community is gathering, showing their immense displeasure of community land being usurped with one thinking councillor bringing the issue to a head.
This unfair land grab by a commercial enterprise has to be stopped.
