George Clooney storms out of dinner

George Clooney has stormed out of a Las Vegas restaurant following an argument about President Barack Obama with a Republican Party supporter.

The Ocean’s Eleven star, a big Obama supporter, stormed out of a dinner at the Botero restaurant at magnate Steven Wynn’s Encore hotel in Las Vegas this month, after a heated discussion about the President’s controversial healthcare initiative, the Affordable Care Act.

Wynn, who has donated to the rival Republican Party, is said to have heavily criticised Obama, prompting Clooney to lose his temper and walk out.

The actor, in a statement issued by his publicist, accused Wynn of calling President Obama an a**hole.

Clooney said he then used the same expletive to describe Wynn and told him ‘‘I wasn’t going to sit at his table while he was being such a jacka**.’’

‘‘It had nothing to do with politics and everything to do with character,’’ he said.

Wynn, in an interview with the Las Vegas Review-Journal, accused Clooney of misbehaving when he was drinking.

Cameron Diaz, Kate Upton sprung skinny dipping

The Other Woman co-stars were forced to stop skinny-dipping together on location in the Bahamas after paparazzi discovered their secret swimming spot.

Cameron Diaz, Leslie Mann and Kate Upton went for a nude swim in between takes while filming in the exotic location and had so much fun splashing around it was decided they should make it a daily thing.

But they had to cover up when photographers turned up on the beach.

‘‘We went skinny dipping in the Bahamas. The next day they (paparazzi) came and we had to stop, which was a real joy kill (sic),’’ Kate Upton told Live! with Kelly and Michael, an American morning talk show.

But the supermodel-turned-actress insists she will be swimming naked again.

‘‘Skinny dipping is the best thing ever, why wouldn’t we go skinny dipping?’’

Justin Bieber’s trial delayed

Justin Bieber has won a bid to have his trial on driving charges delayed.

The 20-year-old will now face court in July after his lawyers asked for the trial to be postponed.

Florida Judge William Altfield granted the request on Wednesday.

Bieber was originally due in court on May 5 to face charges relating to his arrest in January, when he was allegedly caught drag racing on the streets of Miami.

Following the arrest he was charged with driving under the influence, resisting arrest and driving with an expired licence.

He denies the allegations.    Bieber is now due in court on July 7.

He is also facing prosecution in Toronto, Canada, where he is accused of hitting a limousine driver during a night out in December last year.

The assault case has been continued until May 12.
