Trent Arndell, 21, is charged with four offences relating to the heist, as well as two other charges stemming from an aggravated home invasion at Berkeley in October, 2013.
Charge sheets presented to Wollongong Local Court on Tuesday accuse Arndell of robbing the Kiama club of $16,000 about 11.20pm on April 26.
Police say he carried a pistol, which he fired "with reckless disregard for safety".
Arndell was arrested on Monday by Lake Illawarra police.
The case will return to Port Kembla Local Court on July 9.
