Max Hughes will be back to defend his NSW Rising Stars series after the list of talented young drivers to compete in this year's series was finalised earlier in the week.
Hughes heads a cast including Mitch Turnbull, Kasey Hocking, Chris Geary, Nathan Xuereb, Grace Grant, Jack Trainor, Liam Armstrong and Todd Prest with the series to wrap up at Menangle on Breeders' Challenge day late next month.
The series will be conducted across 10 heats over six days at four different tracks with the addition of a Western Australian driver once their series wraps up later this month.
Hughes took last year's spoils with two heats wins in 10 winning drives for the season and is keen to retain the title.
"I reckon it was the best week of my life," he said.
Heats one and two will be held at Menangle on June 24 before the series heads to Bathurst, Penrith, Newcastle and then back to headquarters on the Sunday.
