A pedestrian has been struck by a car in Austinmer.

The pedestrian, believed to be a 50-year-old woman, was struck by the car around 8.15am on the corner of Moore Lane and Lawrence Hargrave Drive.
Emergency services arrived on the scene a short time later.
An ambulance rescue helicopter landed at Austinmer Public School around 8.50am to airlift the woman to hospital.

She is in a serious condition and has suffered a range of injuries including suspected fractures.

She has been airlifted to St George Hospital.
