Friends of the Wollongong City Library organised the literary dinner at Villa D’oro function centre for the one-time foreign minister to discuss his recently released book Diary of a Foreign Minister, which received widespread media attention upon its launch.

The novel chronicles many important international events during Mr Carr’s time in the position, including the election of Australia to the UN Security Council and the war in Syria.
