When Jesse Dee Minovski gets on stage, her loving and caring nature is easy to see, according to her dad Toni Minovski.
She performed The Power of Love by Gabrielle Aplin at the Wollongong Eisteddfod on Wednesday, but the young singer-songwriter has demonstrated her personal power of love through her own songs.
"My song [The Key] is about a bully who can be a good person. They still have good in them but they chose to act bad," the 12-year-old said. "We've all got good in us and you can always be the good person."
Jesse Dee wrote her first song, Just a Dream , at the age of 10. It has had more than 34,000 YouTube hits, but her mother says she sings for the love of it.
"From the moment she could first speak, she was singing Top 40 songs - she just enjoys it," Ms Minovski said.
As happy as Jesse Dee feels on stage, she also performs to benefit others.
"I want to keep making people smile," she said.
But she didn't want to take all the credit for her success and attributed it to her music teacher Nella Magmante and good friend Bobby Kidd.
