Angel Recruitment Group is encouraging people to not only shop locally as consumers but also to do it in business.

Beti Krsteski believes there are many benefits to shopping locally for the creation of jobs in the region.

But she also thinks there are many benefits in using a local professional service provider, rather than handling all recruitment in-house.

Mrs Krsteski has found an innovative and easy way to help businesses do that with an initiative called jobsinthegong.com.au.

She said there had been a surge in the Jobs In The Gong subscriber list recently and a growth in followers to more than 15,670 people in the region who used the site for news on new local job opportunities weekly.

Mrs Krsteski said it was a good time to partner and support the local initiative.

She said jobsinthegong.com.au was about supporting local businesses by helping them hire locally, easily and cost effectively.

All advertised jobs would also be included on social media channels, she said.

The Jobs In The Gong Facebook page now has more than 11,000 local followers and a reach of more than 36,000 people in the local community.

Mrs Krsteski said the page was growing by between 120 and 150 new likes a week.

Further information on the initiative is available online at jobsinthegong.com.au.
