The driver of a prized classic car that collided with a bus departed the accident in an ambulance, more concerned about the damage to his wheels than to his body.

The red 1964 Ford Falcon was hit by a bus on the corner of Corrimal Street and Burelli Street in Wollongong, about 11.50am Saturday.

The Ford’s driver, a 46-year-old man from Wollongong’s northern suburbs, was transported to Wollongong Hospital with a shoulder injury.
