Woman forced to drive man to Bunnings

Police are calling for information after a woman was forced to give a man a lift in her car against her will.

Around 8.15pm on Thursday a 40-year-old woman was approached by a man in the car park of Berkeley Sports Club, who offered to sell her some cosmetics and prescription medication.

When the woman declined the man allegedly told her ‘‘I need to go to Bunnings, and I have these scissors’’ in a non-aggressive way.

Fearing for her safety, the woman drove him to the Bunnings car park in Warrawong.

The police were alerted some time later.

The unknown male was described as Caucasian, aprroximately 178cm tall, skinny build and aged in his early 20s with short brown hair, dark-coloured hooded jumper and track pants.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Lake Illawarra police or Crime Stoppers.
