Miley Cyrus debuts new tattoo of her dog Floyd
In the latest Miley Cyrus news, the pop star now has a memorial tattoo to her dog.
Among myriad images the singer recently posted on Instagram – a total of 99 photographs in the past week – were a bunch of cheeky tattoo selfies showing off her new ink.
The tattoo is a quirky sketch of her dead pet with a speech bubble that reads “with a little help from my fwends”.
She posted several photos of the tattoo process, snapping pictures which flash some serious side boob while showing off the fresh ink on her ribcage.
Cyrus, 21, even had the ingenious idea of covering her nipple with a pink starburst effect to comply with Instagram’s nudity policy.
The pop star's friends seemed to like the tribute tat so much that they also decided to get it.
Cyrus posted a couple of pictures of herself with Flaming Lips front man Wayne Coyne and friend Katy Weaver showing off their matching ribcage tattoos.
It’s been a real struggle for the Wrecking Ball singer since her Alaskan Klee Kai passed away in April, and she’s shared much of that journey on social media.
"I don't wanna say it because I don't want it to be real... But my precious baby Floyd has passed away," she wrote on Twitter. "I am broken."
"I know I don't mean it but I wish he would've taken me with him this is unbearable. What am I gonna do without him?"
Her mum tried to help by buying her a new puppy, Moonie, but Cyrus soon gave the tiny ball of fluff to a family friend, saying she didn’t know if she was ready to love again.
She also posted a long note on her Twitter page, sharing her struggles with the world.
"I keep asking why would the world take my sweet boy from me? A question an infinite amount of mothers before & after me will ask about losing their precious baby," writes Cyrus.
"My baby is gone & it's out of my control."
A couple of months on however it seems like her broken heart has healed enough to welcome another dog into her pack, taking her pooch family back up to five.
A week ago she introduced Emu to her millions of Instagram followers.
She said: “I felt my angel Floydy give Emu his blessing. I prayed to Floyd to just give him a touch of his awesomeness and he has.”
Cyrus, who will be touring Australia as part of her Bangerz tour in October, built a shrine to Floyd.
Emu joins Bean the chihuahua, Penny Lane, Mary Jane and Happy the rottweiler–beagle mix.

Like a juror: Madonna does NYC jury duty
Madonna turned up for jury duty at a New York City courthouse, but she didn’t have to stay for long. The singer was dismissed within two hours.
She spent the time in a clerk’s office instead of in the sprawling juror waiting room.
Court system spokesman David Bookstaver said on Monday officials dismissed her because there were plenty of prospective jurors for the day’s needs.
They also didn’t want her presence to create a distraction in the jury selection process.
He said her appearance alone ‘‘really goes to show that everyone gets called’’.Her spokeswoman said only that Madonna did her service.
