The event at Wollongong City Gallery will double as a fund-raiser for the Disability Trust.
It is the brainchild of IWIB director Glenda Papac.
Mrs Papac had the idea only last week and already half of the 100 tickets available have been sold.
The idea is to have five teams of chefs from Azarak Experimental Kitchen and Bella Portofino, Sydney hatted restaurant Bistrode CBD, Chifley Hotel, Novotel Northbeach and Seacliff Restaurant and Function Centre.
Each team will prepare one of the five courses and canapes and will be assisted in the kitchen by TAFE Illawarra commercial cookery head teacher Gabrielle Frawley and her students who will work as kitchen hands.
TAFE Hospitality head teacher Sara Phillis and her team of students will work as wait staff.
"The night will be about the food and the chefs," Mrs Papac said. "All the chefs are donating their time. There will be no silent auctions or heavy fund-raising on the night. It is designed to be a unique IWIB pop-up dining experience not to be missed. We are after 100 guests with a passion for good food and fine dining."
Tickets can be booked at events@iwib.com.au and further information at www.iwib.com.au.
