There is no doubt Western Sydney Wanderers have made the right decision promoting Trevor Morgan to an assistant coach.
After two years doing his apprenticeship with the Youth squad, Trevor has earned his shot at the next level.
He will undoubtedly be up for the challenge at one of the league's leading clubs.
As far as coaches go, he is probably the best the Wolves have had in the post-NSL era.
His tenure in charge of the club was rewarding for the players and saw some great results against the odds.
It was akin to having a professional coach full-time at the club, such is his tactical nous, professionalism and understanding of the game.
This will only grow stronger as he begins working closer with one of the league's best coaches, Tony Popovic.
While he will continue to be in charge of the Wanderers Youth, he is set to play a more prominent role with the high-flying Wanderers throughout their next campaign.
The Wanderers' season will feature more Asian Champions League action and is likely to include finals football - which will aid Trevor's development as a future head coach.
Down the track if Wollongong were to have an A-League team of their own, he would be a great man to have in charge.
Trevor already has a great understanding of local talent and the game would be a welcome addition back in the Illawarra.
Late nights come to an end
Finally, we can all get a good night's rest. Germany's win over Argentina in Monday's World Cup final brings to a close another epic month of football.
Despite having some nervous moments in the decider, Mario Goetze's goal ensured the best side over the entire tournament hoisted the Cup.
Claiming the scalps of Brazil, France, Algeria, Portugal and the USA on their way to the final, the Germans are worthy of the title of world champions.
