The accident happened around 4.45pm on The Wool Road, when the white Subaru Forester the woman was driving left the road just east of The Wool Lane and collided with a large gum tree.
Witnesses told police the vehicle was travelling in an easterly direction when it crossed to the incorrect side of the road, left the southern shoulder and crashed through bush before colliding with the tree.
Police are preparing a report for the coroner and would like to talk to any other witnesses who are yet to come forward.
