Why? Because we have the Illawarra Brewery.
"I can't believe there's a bar at the base of a sporting stadium that sells real beer," says Austin.
"I doubt there's one in the rest of Australia where you could see a sporting event and then go down and drink some beer that's been handcrafted and given some love.
"I hope that the people from Wollongong know how lucky they are to have that. Because that's still one of the big frustrations for us in Melbourne.
"We spruik how ahead we are in the world of craft beer but you go to a sporting event and you can't drink any."
Put Austin together with Dave Adams and you get the comedy duo Elbowskin, who will get to enjoy the brewery when they come to perform during next month's Froth and Bubbles beer festival, which is sponsored by the Illawarra Mercury.
They're an apt choice for a festival featuring craft beer, because they've got several songs on the subject. Add to that some tunes on wine, food and coffee and it's clear the pair look to the finer things in life for inspiration.
And it helps that they work with those things in their day jobs too.
"The life of a comedian is a pretty difficult one to earn a regular income so we always worked in hospitality - restaurants and bars," Austin says.
"We took a fairly keen interest in the quality end of it. The really nice beers, wines and food.
"So our expertise lies in food and wine and beers, so that's just what our stuff's about."
It's a concept that led them to the rather unusual creation of comedy degustation nights, which feature good food, wine and beer matched with comedians. "We found that we were doing lots of gigs and there could be a really high level of comedy but they were often in a venue where you couldn't get a nice beer or wine or the only food option was a greasy parma," he said. "We thought: 'What if there are people who want to have a fancier night of comedy?' So we started putting on these food and wine - or food and beer-matched - comedy evenings.
"Tickets would be anything up to $100 but they'd be getting five-star courses and some matched wines and they were really popular."
During their visit to Wollongong, it's highly likely we'll get a sneak peak at some of the songs from Elbowskin's upcoming show.
Yep, it's all about beer. "We're writing a new show at the moment for the Melbourne Fringe Festival which is called from Beer to Eternity," Austin says. "It's the history of beer from its ancient origins to where we are today. It's been a lot of fun researching that show."
