Ms Stojkovska, of Port Kembla, is making life easier for many men planning to propose by helping them to find the ideal diamond.

She sources, negotiates and buys on her clients' behalf to acquire the finest stone at a competitive wholesale price, because she operates from home and has low overheads.

To make a successful match, she likes to meet the lady in each client's life, to understand their personality.

Clients take comfort in knowing they have someone working for them who is experienced in the field, she said.

Ms Stojkovska said she had been running Rock Proposals for a few years now.

And she had gained considerable experience, knowledge and confidence from having so many happy couples as clients.

"Rock Proposals has built up good relationships with manufacturers and cutting houses," she said.

"We source our stones on a when-required basis, keeping our overheads low."
