50 Shades of Grey was one of the top trending tweets on Friday morning, following the trailer’s release overnight.Many fans were delighted by the first sizzling glimpse of kinky billionaire Christian Grey and college student Anastasia Steele, taking to Twitter to express their excitement.
‘‘I don’t know how many times I’ve watched the trailer for 50 shades of grey ... Omg too freaking EXCITED’’ WeeDimps said.
Author E L James, who wrote the bestselling romance/bondage book the movie is based on, was also rejoicing.When fans tweeted her saying they were cheering and dancing watching the trailer, she replied: ‘‘Me too! (3’’.
The casting of Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan in the lead roles did, however, leave fans disappointed.
‘‘I’m so excited to see 50 shades of Grey, but I’m disappointed that the male character isn’t hotter they describe him so much more attractive,’’ said JessiKeller2.

Charlize Theron fuels engagement rumours
Actress Charlize Theron has fuelled rumours she is preparing to wed boyfriend Sean Penn after she was photographed wearing a new sparkler on her ring finger on Wednesday.
The Oscar winner, who is mum to adopted son Jackson, began dating her longtime friend Penn late last year and recent reports suggest the highly-private couple is planning to take their relationship to the next level by walking down the aisle.
Theron and her new man are set to exchange vows in her native South Africa later this year, according to Us magazine.
New pictures of the actress arriving at Los Angeles International Airport have given weight to the claims.
In the snaps, the 38-year-old star of George Miller’s upcoming Mad Max: Fury Road film, flashes what appears to be a diamond engagement band on her left ring finger.
A representative for Penn has declined to issue a statement on the report, while a spokesperson for Theron has yet to respond to a request for comment.If the rumours are true, it will be Theron’s first marriage, while 53-year-old Penn was previously married to Madonna and House of Cards actress Robin Wright.
DiCaprio raises $US25M at French charity
Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio has raised more than $US25 million ($A27.05 million) at a charity gala in France for his foundation which aims at protecting the environment and endangered species.
The fundraiser at the chic Riviera seaside resort of Saint-Tropez on Wednesday night included an auction of Hollywood and rock and roll memorabilia and works by Damien Hirst and Pablo Picasso.
It also included DiCaprio’s Harley Davidson motorbike bearing the signatures of Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro and a guitar belonging to U2 frontman Bono.
DiCaprio told the 500 guests - who included stars ranging from US soap star Joan Collins to French actress Marion Cotillard - that animal and flora species were rapidly disappearing on a scale last seen when dinosaurs roamed the earth.
Guests shelled out between $US7,000 and $US130,000 to attend the event.
A sculpture by British artist Damien Hirst was snapped up for $US6 million by Russian-born billionaire Len Blavatnik, while South African tycoon Patrice Motsepe paid $US1 million for a Picasso drawing.
Angus & Julia Stone release new video
Angus & Julia Stone have revealed the video for Get Home, the second single from their forthcoming self-titled album.
The video was directed by the duo’s longtime creative collaborator Jessie Hill.
It was shot guerilla style along the deserted highways of Mexico and features Angus riding around on his vintage motorbike exploring remote towns and drinking mescal with the locals.
Angus & Julia will perform at Byron Bay’s Splendour In The Grass music festival on Friday night - there first Australian show for the year before their national tour in September.
Malkovich disses Sydney Opera House
US actor John Malkovich thinks the Sydney Opera House is only fit for a circus.
The thespian performed there in the Sydney Festival production The Giacomo Variations, which was booed and critically savaged.
Malkovich told News Ltd the Sydney Opera House was lovely to view by boat and has a nice crew, ‘‘but the acoustics are hideous’’.
‘‘I mean, I don’t know, I have only played in about 200 opera houses, and it certainly has acoustics that would do an aeroplane hangar a disservice,’’ he said.
‘‘For a catholicity of reasons, its not the wisest place to put on anything ... with the possible exception of maybe a circus.’’
