The Lions linchpin sent a scare through the Gerringong camp when he suffered the injury with 10 minutes remaining in Sunday's 64-4 annihilation of Berry-Shoalhaven Heads at Michael Cronin Oval.
Davidson, who scored one of his team's 12 tries, gingerly left the field and did not return.
But he allayed concerns shortly after the game and expects to take on the Knights.
"I just pinched a nerve. It'll be right," the playmaking lock said.
"I've done it before. I'll rest it up this week and I should be right for Kiama."
Gerringong's dominant victory earned them a share of third spot with Nowra-Bomaderry, though the Lions boast a better for and against record.
The home side struck first with Peter Cronin's try and were set to make it 8-0 when Berry's Josh Ingold scored from an intercept.
But the Magpies never crossed again.
Gerringong patiently built a 14-4 lead before exploding with four tries in 12 minutes for a 34-4 half-time lead.
The result avenged a 30-16 road loss to Berry in round 11.
"We didn't need much motivation revving up for this game," Lions halfback Rixon Russell said.
"They gave us a bit of a touch-up down there and we were pretty keen to put a good score on them.
"They were lucky to get that first try. We defended our line pretty well and we knew that once we had the ball we were going to run all over them. We trained really well during the week and it showed today."
Scoring two tries apiece for the reigning premiers were Russell, Peter Cronin, Nathan Ford, Kal Collins and Pat Cronin.
Davidson and Corey Mulhall were Gerringong's other try scorers, while Joel Roberts kicked eight goals.
Sunday's game was a deferred match from round one. No other games were scheduled over the weekend.
The Lions have racked up 118 points in their past two wins.
"We're all fit and we've got four of the next five at home. That'll give us a good advantage coming into the semis," Russell said.
"We know what to do at this time of year and we're all pretty confident. Everyone was writing us off a few weeks ago, but we're back now. The confidence is up.
"We're sitting third now. We've got Kiama next weekend and that's always tough and then we've Warilla in a few weeks. Hopefully we'll aim up and keep winning."
Davidson believes the Lions have rediscovered their passion for winning.
"There's more enthusiasm the last couple of weeks," he said.
"We were a bit slow to start the season. We just weren't really clicking, but we're just starting to find our feet now. There's more energy, we're better in defence. We're still making a few errors, but our overall performance is getting there."
