An Ambulance NSW spokeswoman said paramedics were called to the scene about 11.15am on Thursday.
It is understood one car T-boned the other.
Paramedics treated two people; one person was found outside their car and walking around when emergency services arrived.
A man in his 60s was trapped in the other car because of his injuries.
He was complaining of hip pain, the spokeswoman said.
One of three northbound lanes on the M1 Princes Motorway has been closed due to the crash.
