While the reptile display was the big drawcard for current students, photographs from the school’s five decade long history drew in past pupils at Woonona East Public School’s 50th anniversary celebration on Saturday.
Principal Sharyn Liddle said it was only natural for people to want to reminisce about their days at the school.
‘‘They have a lot of happy memories... people have developed friendships that have lasted all their lives,’’ she said.
‘‘They like to relive the time they were here at the school.
‘‘Looking at the photographs helps them remember people they haven’t thought about in a while.’’
