When A-League All Stars striker Besart Berisha looks at the star-studded Juventus line-up, one name sticks out above the rest.

"I think like a striker and you always think, who is the goalkeeper?," the former A-League golden boot winner said.

"He is a legend one, so it is not really easy [to single out one player] but [Gianluigi] Buffon for me is one of the players who I want to play against.

"He is a special performer, a great goalkeeper, a legend, a sportsman and a very good gentleman."

A World Cup winner with Italy, Buffon has won almost every prize on offer during his time with Juventus and has faced off against some of world football's biggest names.

On Sunday he'll meet the best the A-League has to offer at ANZ Stadium.

And one man is eager to add to his already bursting resume.

Berisha currently sits fourth in the A-League's all-time leading scorers, has found the net in two A-League grand-finals and scored the All Stars' only goal in last season's showcase against Manchester United.

"I was lucky enough to score last year against Manchester United so I am hoping I can repeat it again this year against one of the best goalkeepers in the world," he said.

If the Young Socceroos friendly was anything to go by, Berisha looks primed to play another big role in the All Stars match.

"It makes it a little bit easier because you know how the rhythms and how to prepare. I think every year you play in All Stars you know how to do it," Berisha said.

"I hope this year we can maybe make a surprise everyone and get a win."

Berisha sprung a surprise of his own near the end of last campaign by making the switch from title-winners Brisbane Roar to two-time champions Melbourne Victory.

"I was looking for a new challenge and this was my decision to go down to Melbourne," Berisha said.

"I want to stay with this hunger of winning titles."
