“I’m not looking just for the next relationship – I’m looking for someone to spend the rest of my life with. Is she amongst this group of women? I’m hoping she is,” he says.

Back at the ranch, Osher brings in the date card, and Amber is quick to remind everyone about how much she wants her name on there.

“Let’s talk about how much I wanted that single date because I have been in the house and I’m the only person who hasn’t been on a date,” she says.

The date card reads, “Do you feel the need for speed?” – cue much screaming from the group – and Lisa is the lucky lady. Amber is not impressed.

Lisa heads off the next day, and finds Blake looking like something straight out of Top Gun, standing in front of a helicopter. Lisa doesn’t waste a second, going straight in for a kiss on the lips when she greets her date, who towers over her.

The pair hop in the helicopter, and go for a flying tour over Sydney Harbour.

“This is anything like a typical first date,” says Blake. Come to think of it Blake, you’re right. No one’s ever picked me up in a helicopter before. Great to see fame hasn’t changed you yet.

After a bit of flying, hand-holding and pointing out the windows, Blake announces they’re in the Hunter Valley region, and the helicopter lands at a small runway.

Apparently the trip has rendered Lisa incapable of walking, so Blake piggy-backs her out and across the tarmac.

In front of them are two Tiger Moth planes and two pilots. Both Blake and Lisa admit they’re scared of heights. This should be good.

After a series of loops and extended periods of flying upside down, Lisa is screaming and cackling with laughter and waving to Blake. Blake on the other hand has turned multiple shades of green. Great date choice, Blake.

While Blake looks like he’s hesitant to ever leave the ground again, he asks Lisa, ‘You ready for some more?” And with that they’re back in the helicopter.

At the mansion, Sam wants to clear the air with Laurina after their fight before the previous rose ceremony. Sam explains that she thinks everyone deserves to have a fair amount of time with Blake, and that’s why she reacted like she did.

Laurina responds with something completely incomprehensible.

“I just think Laurina and I are entirely different species and I just think she’s a bit of a goose,” says Sam. You and me both.

Meanwhile, the helicopter has landed again, and it seems the flying has again caused Lisa mobility problems. This time Blake carries her out of the helicopter as if they've just been married.

They've landed in a field and what do you know, there’s a table set for two. Blake talks about how the place has just reached its thousandth proposal, and with that announcement, he gets down on one knee. Could Blake have decided to ditch the rest of the women and propose to Lisa already?

It turns out he’s just proposing dinner. There was probably a less cheesy way to do that, Blake.

At the house, the next date card has arrived, announcing a group date with the less-than-sexy message of, “Better out than in.” Some of the girls are understandably concerned.

Holly, Lauren, Anita, Stacey-Louise, Diana, Alana, Zoe, Louise, Shana and Kara are all on the card. Amber is not. She reminds us again that she’s the only person who hasn’t been on a date in the house.

“There are people who have left who have been on a date. I’m literally just sitting around here all day every day. I’m the most unlucky, dateless girl in this fricken house,” she wails.

The next day there’s a bit more drama when Holly finds out her Mum needs to speak to her urgently. She calls her Mum and finds out she’s been selected to play netball in the Australian National League, and if she wants to take the opportunity she needs to leave the competition.

Holly’s left not knowing what to do. Her Mum tells her to do what she wants, while strongly and not-so-subtly suggesting she choose netball over the man who’s dating 15 other women.

“You need to do what you want to do sweetheart," Mum says. "You’ve worked really hard for this."

Back on the date, Blake and Lisa have moved inside to feed each other cake by the fireplace.

Deciding she’ll try her luck, Lisa suggests a plan for when their date is over.

“What are you going to do when we get back to the house? Are you just going to go, ‘well I really like Lisa – can I just take all the others out of the show?’”

And then everyone wins, right Lisa?

Then they share a fire-side kiss, and saying he wants to enjoy more of her company, Blake offers Lisa the rose.

When Lisa returns to the house, with a giant smile on her face, the rest of the girls are keen for the gossip.

Lisa tells them all about the chopper and the dinner, but all they’re interested in is if there was a kiss.

After briefly acting coy, Lisa admits there, “may have been a kiss”.

“I’m sure the girls are jealous that yes I did get the first kiss,” she says. Oh Lisa. You didn’t get the first kiss sweetheart. You’re just the first one silly enough to tell the rest of them.

Despite kissing another girl, Jessica - who got the actual first kiss - still believes she and Blake’s connection is going strong.

“The only thing I can do is believe Blake when he says I’m the only girl who makes him tongue-tied or he misses me. I’m just going to have to trust and believe that he’s saying that to just me,” she says. I hate to break it to you Jess …

Then we’re off on the group date. The 10 girls are standing around in the bush wearing wildly inappropriate clothes. Osher’s there too, and he explains that not only are they going on a hike, but they’re going to camp overnight with no makeup or toiletries or showers.

Anita is excited. Lauren looks mortified.

After a quick wardrobe change into – well equally inappropriate clothes but better shoes at least , the group sets off with their backpacks and camping supplies. The trek up hills and through streams with Kara taking the lead.

Whey then reach the campsite, they have to set up their own tents – a task sure to separate the women from the princesses. Or apparently those who can and can’t read, with Louise in particular gazing in confusion at the illustrated instructions.

Blake proposes a toast to “outdoors, to warmth, and to love,” and with that, camping is underway.

Blake takes Zoe aside, where they chat under a blanket.

“I find you intriguing at the moment – I feel there are many layers to the Blake onion,” says Zoe, and with that, Blake whips out a rose, which she accepts.

Back by the campfire and with the wine flowing, the girls start a game of truth or dare, asking the hard-hitting questions like whether Blake prefers blondes or brunettes (brunettes apparently). The girls also finally get the truth out of Holly that she and Blake didn’t kiss on their one-on-one date.

Blake pulls Alana aside, and after a brief chat, he offers her a rose. He’s handing these things out like candy tonight.

As the pair walks back towards the group, one of the ladies sees the rose and shouts out, “That is not a marshmallow on a stick.” Nothing gets past this lot.

The next morning, over the breakfast campfire, Holly takes Blake aside and tells him she’s going to leave the competition to pursue netball.

“It’d be really hard to walk away from here because I’m already so emotionally invested in you, but I can’t walk away from netball,” she says.

Probably a wise move Holly, given you’ve known Blake for about 19 minutes.

Holly breaks the news to the girls, and they all seem concerned – well, about as concerned as one can be when their direct competition takes herself out of contention.

Up drives a 4WD and whisks Holly off. Personally, I’d be pretty annoyed to realise the campsite was accessible by vehicles that whole time, and the hike was pointless.

And then we’re back at another rose ceremony. Amber jumps straight in, stealing Blake away, and reminds us all how much she would actually like a date of any kind.

The girls back in the group ask Laurina if she thinks Blake will chat with her at the cocktail party. She gives a completely indecipherable answer, which doesn’t impress the others.

“Everything’s ambiguous with me,” she says. Well, at least you know it.

Proving that her bizarre tactics continue to pay off, Blake picks Laurina next to go have some one-on-one time.

Most of the girls are feeling a bit nervous, but Stacey-Louise is full of confidence.

“I’m really not concerned I feel confident I’m getting a rose,” she says.

Lauren on the other hand, thinks it’s anyone’s game.

“I think if you’re over confident going into these things you’re an idiot,” she says.

And it appears she’s right. Stacey-Louise’s confidence proves unfounded, with both her and Sharna missing out, and leaving the house.

Next week, it seems Amber yet again misses out on a date. In case you’ve missed it, Amber’s yet to go on an actual date. Like, she’s the only one in the house.  And she’d really like one – like, really. Bring on the drama.
