The home at 25 Towradgi Road will be open for inspection for the first time on Saturday, yet the phones have been running hot from the moment its sale was announced, according to listing agent Jeremy Hodder of Belle Property Wollongong.
Mr Hodder said the four-bedroom home had not been on the market since 2004 and in that time had undergone a significant redesign under Mr Feller's hand.
He said the contemporary home had a functional and free-flowing double-storey floor plan that included passive solar design and bespoke interiors that merged seamlessly with north-facing alfresco entertaining areas.
The living and dining areas have fully retractable stacker doors that open out to a deck and in-ground pool. Nearby are a gas kitchen and a second living area.
Upstairs are three robed bedrooms, including the master with an en suite and day bed, and a family bathroom. There is also a downstairs guest bedroom (or study) and bathroom.
The master bedroom has views over Towradgi Park and a wet room shower to the en suite.
The home's features include a high front fence with intercom and keypad entry; automatic double garage; three-metre ceilings; heated polished-concrete floors; and polished spotted gum floors, which were recycled from a historic bridge.
Mr Feller, who has the Towradgi home featured on his business website, designed the two-storey residence with passive solar design principles.
The roof angles and overhangs allow the winter sun to penetrate deep into and warm the southern corners of the house while excluding the hot summer rays, he said on the website.
The sea breezes are effectively captured by operable double-glazed windows and doors on all facades. And the double height void at the entry acts as a funnel to flush air, providing controlled cross-ventilation and helping to maintain a comfortable internal atmosphere all year round, he said.
The home is open for inspection on Saturday from 1pm to 1.45pm. It will go to auction on Friday, August 29, at 6pm at the Belle Auction Room in Wollongong's Chifley Hotel.
