The last time Andrea Pirlo was in Australia, he scored the only goal in the win over Australia in the 2000 olympics
'I Think Therefore I Play', Andrea Pirlo's autobiography includes many memorable quotes. The enigma that he is doesn't fail to disappoint with his view on football, life and love. I'll bring you some favourites throughout the coverage.
On pre-match warm ups: ‘It’s nothing but masturbation for conditioning coaches.’
Kick-off here at ANZ Stadium. And its Juventus that get us underway in front of what looks at least 50,000 supporters.
Our man on the ground Dom Bossi is enjoying being close to his Italian heroes.

It's not You'll Never Walk Alone, but it's iconic for all the wrong reasons - Anthem of Juventus, a classic cheesy Italian power ballad.
Beautiful chip through ball from Del Piero to Carrusca - the Italian master looks to have good touch against his former teammates. Well smothered by the Juventus defence.
Free kick to the All Stars. Del Piero has a golden chance here to score against his former club.
Into the wall it goes. Tame attempt from Del Piero.
Pirlo on Real Madrid: ‘I pictured myself in that white jersey. Pristine, and at the same time aggressive; a mean streak running through its unusual purity. My thoughts often wandered to the Santiago Bernabeu, the Temple, a ground that struck terror into opponents. Bruised and battered slaves at the king’s banquet.’
Goal All Stars! Unbelievable!!! Bessart to Broich who plays it though to Carrusca who pokes the ball past Buffon!
Beautiful composure from Adelaide's Carrusca. Not a bad feather in his cap, to score against Buffon! Not many on the pitch have done that!
Well that was unexpected, All Stars have rocked the Italian champions with a superbly crafted goal finished by @chelocarrusca. All Stars 1-0 — Dominic Bossi (@DomBossi) August 10, 2014
The All Stars Jersey's are receiving mixed reviews. As are Juve's. To be honest, I can't even read the numbers!! Yellow on white, c'mon! Help a brother out!
Who was the genius who thought it was a good idea to print yellow numbers on a white jersey? #ALvJUVE — Dominic Bossi (@DomBossi) August 10, 2014
From one of three SMH journo's on the ground, our man Tom Decent: After dominating the early exchanges, Juventus have genuinely struggled to get out of their own territory and look a little shocked from the excellent possession football the All Stars have maintained for the first fifteen minutes of this blockbuster. A Del Piero free kick just outside of the box had everyone saying "surely not", but a few minutes later Carrusca slotted one off the left peg into the back of the net. Where did that come from? Juventus look stunned. Could this be the upset of all upsets?
Patrice Evra takes a heavy challenge from Muscat. He gets up, interesting to see what impression he makes on the Serie A this season.
Plenty of support here at ANZ Stadium - even the next generation are out in force!
Pirlo on Roy Hodgson: "He called me Pirla (a term used in Milan dialect roughly translated as d***head), perhaps understanding my true nature more than the other managers. We went through four coaches that year (1999). I’d wake up in the morning and not remember who my coach was."
Pirlo is starting to find his range here - peppering the All Stars defence with beautiful balls. After nearly 500 Serie A matches, he'd want to have good range!
Del Piero puts a chance over - found space on the left but pushes his shot over the bar.
Andrea Pirlo on midfield machine Gennaro Gattuso: "You could see the red mist coming down and he just wasn’t able to hide it. We could tell what was coming and so we’d commandeer all the knives. Gattuso would grab a fork and try to stick it in us."
Juventus are taking their time with the ball, slowly building their attack. They'll need to find another gear against this motivated All Stars side.
Beautiful save from Buffon, that's why he's so highly revered. Berisha gave himself space with a deft touch but Buffon finger-tipped the ball around the post. Is he still the best keeper in world football?!
